Zapier

Connect Verifycate certificate events and actions to thousands of apps with Zapier

The Verifycate Zapier app turns certificate activity into Zaps and lets a Zap add, revoke or replace certificates without writing code.

Connect

  1. In Verifycate, open Workspace → API Keys and create a key with certificates:read, certificates:write and designs:read.
  2. In Zapier, add the Verifycate app to a Zap.
  3. Paste the API key and the workspace slug when Zapier asks for the connection details.
  4. Test the connection.

The Zapier app uses the workspace slug in addition to the API key. You can copy the slug from the workspace URL or from Workspace → Settings.

Triggers

The app uses signed Verifycate webhooks, so triggers are instant.

TriggerEvent
Certificate Issuedcertificate.issued
Recipient Enrolledrecipient.enrolled
Certificate Verifiedcertificate.verified
Certificate Reissuedcertificate.reissued
Certificate Revokedcertificate.revoked
Request Submittedrequest.submitted
Correction Submittedcorrection.submitted

Each trigger accepts an optional certificate filter. Leave it empty to receive the event for every certificate in the workspace.

Actions

ActionWhat it does
Add Recipient to CertificateEnrols a recipient and issues immediately when delivery settings allow.
Revoke CertificatePermanently revokes a recipient certificate with an audit reason.
Replace CertificateIssues a fresh credential after a revocation; costs one credit.
Find CertificateFinds a certificate by its exact name.
Find RecipientFinds a recipient and the certificates they hold by email.

Re-enrolling an existing recipient returns the issue they already hold instead of failing the Zap.

Duplicate deliveries

Verifycate retries failed deliveries and can deliver the same event more than once. Add a filter or a storage step on the event id when the destination app is not idempotent.

Troubleshooting

SymptomCheck
Connection test failsThe key may be revoked or missing a scope, or the workspace slug may be wrong.
Trigger does not fireCheck the certificate filter and the event type, then inspect the delivery log in Verifycate → Settings → Webhooks.
Action cannot find a recipientThe recipient must already be enrolled in the selected certificate.
Replace failsOnly a revoked certificate can be replaced. Revoke it first.
